Regency Hospital Raises ₹110 Crore From BlackSoil Capital for Tier-2 Healthcare Expansion

BlackSoil Capital

Mumbai: Regency Hospital Limited, a leading tertiary care healthcare provider in Uttar Pradesh, has raised ₹110 crore from BlackSoil Capital to fund its expansion and investments in new healthcare infrastructure.

With more than three decades of experience, Regency Hospital operates hospitals and healthcare facilities across Kanpur, Lucknow and Gorakhpur.

Its healthcare network provides multi-specialty and super-specialty care across oncology, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology, critical care and other specialities.

The ₹110 crore financing from BlackSoil Capital comes as healthcare delivery and demand for specialised care continue to expand beyond India’s major metropolitan centres.

The growth of established healthcare operators across tier-2 and tier-3 markets, alongside increasing insurance and government healthcare scheme penetration, is creating greater demand for institutional capital to build and expand healthcare capacity.

Commenting on the fundraise, Abhishek Kapoor, CEO, Regency Hospital Limited, said: “Regency has remained focused on expanding access to quality tertiary and super-specialty healthcare across Uttar Pradesh.

The ₹110 crore financing from BlackSoil will support our investments in new healthcare infrastructure and enable us to build further capacity in markets where the demand for specialised care continues to grow.”

For BlackSoil Capital, the transaction reflects its growing focus on the healthcare sector and its approach of financing established businesses with clear growth plans.

The platform has built exposure across hospitals, diagnostics and medical equipment distribution.

We see meaningful opportunities to finance established healthcare businesses as they invest in new capacity and infrastructure.”

The transaction further expands BlackSoil Capital’s healthcare lending activity, with the platform expecting to continue building its healthcare lending portfolio.

The focus will be on established operators expanding their presence across tier-2 and tier-3 markets.
